Monkey Bizzness... Dodgers in Colorado

Friday started off with some fun for the boys and a nice big cup of coffee for me! Where? At Monkey Bizzness! A great place for the boys to play on every kind of apparatus imaginable! A giant slide! Go Ryland go!
A dance area! Is that a ball I see in Easton's hand!
Another ball?
A costume area. Good ARGHHHH pirate Ryland!
Art and so much more. What a fun place!
After Monkey Bizzness we drove back to Keri's for lunch and naps. Even for me! Then it was time to head to the Dodger game! I can't remember exactly when I last saw a Dodger game live. I know the last one I saw at Dodger Stadium was 10 years ago. Before the game Keri had to deliver some photos to store right by the stadium. What a neat area!

Need a bike to ride for a while? You can rent one and then return it to any bike rental area in Denver. Pretty neat idea!
The fees are reasonable too! I had never heard of this concept. Unique!
Here we are at Coors Field. Early of course because I love getting to ball games early! Keri is showing us the stadium here! Thanks Keri!
I am so ready to see that Dodger blue!
This is where we had dinner. It was right outside the stadium. We got to people watch everyone going into the game while we ate. I am pretty sure there were Dodger fans walking by than Rockies fans!
Keri was enjoying an adult beverage. No kids tonight!
Just the mom and daughter.
This is a fun thing. As you walk to the stadium there is a display of every kind of ball you can think of. Even Lucile Ball!
This is one side of the display. There are 4 sides like this!
When we got to our seats I was screaming inside. No really! I was! Look how close we are to the field. Keri told me they were front row seats but when I saw them I was in baseball heaven. Even had a little heart racing action going on. Do you think I love baseball and the Dodgers?

Here is the view!
John took our picture sitting in our seats.
This is John! Thanks John!

So guess who we saw first. Clayton Kershaw warming up right by us! I mean right by us. Dodger heaven! We couldn't have had better seats.
Smile for the camera. OK, maybe he wasn't smiling for the camera but I got a great shot.

To warm up his arm Mr. Kershaw was throwing all the way across the field. There is a person under the red sign by the center field fence. Kershaw was throwing it on the fly to him. Unreal!
Andre Ethier! AHHHH! Too much fun!

Matt Kemp warming up!

Kemp got involved in a kick ball game with the Rockies mascot!
Now Casey Blake warming up near us. Could this get any better for someone who bleeds Dodger blue? I think not!
Signing autographs for the fans BEFORE the game!
Matt Kemp getting stretched. I need a stretcher!
Casey Blake again!
James Loney! All these guys were right by us.

The left fielder!
Some field action!
AHHH you just gotta love this! Baseball!

And when it was all over Kemp walked off the field as a winner for today. The Dodgers rallied and won the game! What a night for me! Thanks Keri for a great time! I had a fantastic visit with the family. I am proud of Keri and Mark and what a great job they are doing raising their boys. Keep up the good work!

Watching the Boys!

On Wed. Keri and Mark left early for a tee time and a night away. I was happy to watch Easton and Ryland overnight so they could have some much deserved time away. As you will notice there wasn't as much picture taking on these two days. :-) The boys kept me hopping playing, playing, playing! Easton loves balls. He has a ball in his hand 95% of the time. He throws it and then goes and gets it and throws it again. I played catch with him a lot!

Notice the stance! It takes him a while to wiggle into this position but it is a prerequisite to do that wiggling before each throw! He even gives the ball a couple of pats before he throws it! Future quarterback? Who knows!
Golf is another story. Steer clear of Easton when he is golfing. He swings with all his might! The ball goes sailing across the room in many unpredictable directions. I think Keri and Mark should teach him to yell...FORE!
One of my duties while I was watching the boys was to get the milk off the porch on Thursday morning. The local dairy delivers milk to your door! Wow, throwback to when I was a kid!
Ryland loves puzzles, games, video games, Wipeout and puppet shows. Here he was the puppet master for the big show!
Great job Ryland!
Keri and Mark returned Thursday morning. Thursday night was open house at Ryland's new pre-school. I got to go with the gang.
Ryland went to this school during the summer so it wasn't new to him. Both the boys jumped right in!

Ryland's teachers!

Off we go back to the house where my brother met us for a good visit. Always too short though.

The time flew by! Already Thursday night! I was happy to get the chance to see where Ryland would be spending some of his days this year. He is a smart, smart boy! He will probably teach them a thing or two. :-) Keri and I finished the day with an evening 8 mile walk at this high elevation. I made it just fine but could for sure tell the elevation was different. Keri did awesome! She is ready for the big race in October!
