A Picture Tour of 49 Degrees North

When you ski at the same ski area most of the time it is hard to get different pictures! Especially, if the grandkids aren't there. :-) Love taking pics of the little ones! I could have put my camera away for a change but it was a beautiful day for pictures. So here goes the tour! 49 Degrees North! The lodge!

Getting our skis on and checkin' out the view!

There is that corduroy again. It was everywhere. We got up to the mountain early just for this!

First ride up!
Chair 1 goes to the top of the mountain.

Smiley Mike!

Made it to the top. Why do I stand like this every time I get my picture taken??

Favorite picture of the day. We were headed to the quad and we stopped and looked at where we had been. Couldn't resist taking a picture of that beautiful blue sky!
Lunch! Mike is in charge of lunches! Yummy! Here are some pictures of the lodge!

WOW!

See the poles hanging on my skis!!! They are at least 25 years old and are still perfectly straight. I bought them when I worked in a ski shop! They are Kastle poles. Kastle doesn't exist anymore! Classics!
Heading home!
Back of the lodge with a ski run peeking over the top of the building!
Parking lot! Everyone needs to see the parking lot!

Packing up and heading home. Love the Chevy! Lots more room!

Great day, great day, great day! Sun was shining, snow was fast, company was the best. There is just something so special spending the day out in God's creation!

Adult Ski Day

Justin and Kristin needed an adult ski day! Mike and I watched the precious little ones. The first thing they always want me to do is set up the small table so they can color. This coloring is serious business! Takes lots of concentration!

Lucy's hair is getting a bit longer. Now she can have pigtails! Small ones for sure but have you seen anything cuter?
Layne has patience for coloring. I don't think I ever did.
Lucy is trying to figure out how to hold that crayon!
Coloring with your eyes closed. Unique approach!
Lucy always has a smile on her face! She is a happy girl!
Next the toy room!
Layne wanted to rest for a while so we pulled out the "secret bed" that everyone knows about and she watched part of a movie!
We always go on a walk, always. I tried to convince Layne it was too cold but she wouldn't have it!

A busy day! Now cookies and what is the best part of making cookies???? Licking the beaters!

The final product!
Lucy decided to try on Layne's hat. Cute!
Our kitchen and dining area is connected. We have runners on the floor because one of our dogs can't walk on the floor. Too slippery for a dog with hip problems. The girls pulled the runners into another room and did the run and slide Olympics! I think we have all at one time in our lives used some household item for a cape and run around like we were a super hero! Layne's turn for that!
Here comes the runner!
Lucy tried to figure out how Layne was sliding. At first she just ran back and forth. No sliding. She finally figured it out and there was no stopping her. She was pretty pleased with herself!
One final slide!
It was a great day. Busy busy busy! We loved all of it! I think we were all very tired by the end of the day. Kristin and Justin had a nice sunny day with new powder to ski in. They had fun and so did we!
