Today with Layne and Lucy

First day of summer for me. Couldn't think of a better way to spend it than with grand kids! Kristin really wanted a minute or two to give her hair some TLC. I was ready and waiting to take the girls! Ha! "The girls" are now the Lathrop girls. One of the first things on the list when one of the grand kids comes over is feeding the dogs a treat. Layne is finally getting big enough that Rocky and Bear listen to her. Well, at least as much as they listen to any of us!
The next thing that happens is my house is transformed into a play place. The kid table comes out, the music makers appear, crayons, stickers, coloring books, balls! Too much fun! Oh yes, and the race track! Thanks for sharing Ry!

Layne and I always take a walk and now Lucy will be coming along too!

Lucy isn't quite as excited as Layne is about the walks. She will be someday though!

And now the girl of many faces!

Grandpa and Layne were throwing a soft ball today about the size of a softball. Grandpa thinks she has a natural throw and was amazed she could throw it right to him every time!!! Not to mention catch it! We aren't surprised though. It's in the genes!!!

What will little Lucy be like? Will she has the same spunk as her mom and Layne? Will she be a natural at her softball throws? Or will be have some amazing talent yet to be discovered? Time will tell. She is precious!
