I always love to see these signs. Twisties are fun even if they are only for a mile! Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." Isaiah 40:31

The First Motorcycle Ride of 2009
Mike called me Sunday and he was at an open house, working. He needed cold medicine. HMMMM! Great excuse to get on the bike for the first ride. I was concerned about the battery but my Honda started right up! I use a battery tender of course. I could hardly wait to take off but it takes a while to get all geared up. It seemed like forever until that bike was moving. VRRRRM!! I took off! I missed the turn to the open house, darn! I had to keep traveling north for awhile. I finally turned around and got the cold medicine to Mike. Then I just buzzed around on some of the back roads in Spokane! I stopped the bike for a while and just enjoyed the lack of snow and the blue skies. It was indescribable!
I always love to see these signs. Twisties are fun even if they are only for a mile!

Huey Lewis
My only regret at the Huey Lewis concert was not asking Keri, the professional photographer, how to take pictures in low, low, light. I tried the setting for low light but it was not good. The concert itself was a blast. All those songs that the girls and I used to dance to in the living room in our cabin on Mt. Spokane. Katie called Huey Lewis, Whooey Lewis. She is still a big fan. When I told the girls I was going to get rid of all my vinyl albums and asked if they wanted any of them the only request was Katie's. She wanted Whooey Lewis!!! I still haven't dug all the albums out of the basement to get rid of them. When I do Katie will get Huey!

Park Wednesday Evening
The Doolittles have a spectacular park about a mile from their house. There is a pool, water park, fishing lake (catch and release they tell me), skate park, roller hockey rink, workout facility and all the other things a park usually has. Anyone who lives in the community can use it. Of course there are association dues to pay but very much worth it. Here a few shots of the walk in the park!

Road Runner Bar and Saloon
Now that we are bikers we have to visit all the local biker hang outs! :-) This one is called Road Runner Saloon. It is not far from Keri's. Maybe about 10 minutes! The joint wasn't hopping with bikers for lunch but I guess in the evenings it really gets going! It has indoor and outdoor seating! Gotta love the giant road runner on the building!
The food was fabulous!!!! So was the company!
