And then of course there was some shopping to be done at the packet pick up area. What should we buy????
Next on the agenda was racking our bikes. You had to drive about 25 minutes away to the race area to rack the bikes. The bike mechanics were on hand in case you needed anything at all! This time went smoother than in Chelan. Sheila had a tire issue but she caught it early and Mark took her tire to a bike shop. It had to be replaced! Wow!
There is my bike in the middle! I like that red helmet to the right of my bike! Pretty snazzy! Might just have to get one! Cha ching!
Lots of bikes and all of them will be ridden by women! Ladies only in this triathlon!
Got the bikes racked and then did some carbo loading at the Spaghetti Factory! I don't think the camera man told us he was taking the picture because some of us don't look very happy. We were though! It was fun to get together and talk about the big day!
We took a shuttle to the restaurant. Emily called the shuttle to pick us up but it was going to be at least a 30 minute wait. We had a football game to get to. Freida squished us all in her car and dropped us off at the hotel which was right next to Quest Field. Thanks Freida!
Next up was the Seahawks pre-season game against the Titans! This little Seahawks car was dragging a Titan behind it! Ouch!
Deanna and Sheila at the field!
Rick and Emily too!
Go Seahawks!
All smiles as we waited in the sun for the kick off! It was a rare hot day in Seattle! We soon had shade though!
Here are some sights from the game.
We stayed for the first half. Big things to do the next day so we needed our rest. A quick walk back to the hotel and then things got serious. :-) Time to put things in order for the triathlon. Number on helmet, timing chip ready to go, gear in order! Nite nite sleep tight! 4 AM will come early! I prayed for a safe race for all of us on Sunday before I drifted to sleep.
