Well, the first crisis or opportunity depending on how you look at it had to be taken care of Friday morning. Dee Dee forgot her phone. I know I would feel weird without mine. She had a free phone coming so we stopped by the local Verizon store! DROID! She is now the proud owner of a DROID. Just like her two sisters! I guess this was a great opportunity! They are fun to have! We spent some time sharing what apps we had on our phones. Patti is the pro! She had lots of good apps to share with us. All that phone shopping works up an appetite. The Onion downtown was our stop before we went to get our Bloomsday packets. Loved this nice red motorcycle hanging in the Onion!
I was pretty excited for the sisters to pick up race packets and see everything that went along with Bloomsday. You can't explain or imagine what it is like to travel 7.46 miles with 50,000 other people. That is right! There were 50,661 finishers this year. Just getting race packets is an adventure!
Here are some other Bloomies getting their race packets.
We made a side trip to Riverfront Park! The park is right next to the Convention Center where we picked up race packets and shopped at the Trade Show for Bloomsday.
Patti need some carousel music to bring back fond memories to her two grown sons. Precious. I am sure they will love the music!
Isn't this totally beautiful!!! It is magic I think! You see it and you just want to jump on and take a spin!
Friday night Mike was headed to The Stir for a birthday party for an office worker. We joined in the festivities at our own table. Great food and even better company. It was fun just to sit and visit and laugh!
We got home from The Stir around 8 PM and visited some more and planned the next day!
