Big night tonight in the Gleason household. Our friends Mariane and Mike came over and the Saints were on TV. We were so excited to watch the Saints remain undefeated. The Mike's cooked dinner for the girls. Fish that Mike W. caught during the fishing season (if there is such a thing) and elk that Mike W. shot during hunting season. Great food. Those two men are great cooks. There was some mention of participating in the Iron Chef show. Watch for them. :-) Mariane and I watched the Saints pre-game show while the boys cooked. Life is good!!!!

The food was ready just a little after kick off. We ate in the living room so we could watch the excitement on the big HD TV. Well, things didn't turn out quite like we had hoped! Saints lost but the last two minutes were very exciting. The Saints had a chance to tie it up because of a missed field goal. But a fumble ended their undefeated season. My sister said better to lose now than in the Super Bowl. Very true but it was still disappointing!
The Saints loss didn't take away from the great time we had with Mike and Mariane! Good friends, good food, and the Christmas spirit always make for a special time. Lots of laughter and fun! Merry Christmas to all!!!
