Bloomsday

Well, Bloomsday is this Sunday. I walked about 3 miles with Vivianne today. We are ready to go. Bloomsday is 7.46 miles and has 40,000 to 50,000 runners/walkers do the course. This will be my 28th Bloomsday. I will be walking. The big thing every year is what color will the shirts be? I never guess correctly. No more forest green I hope. Pink or light blue would be nice. No dark colors this year. Everyone that does the race wears their shirts to work on Monday. Unwritten rule I think. Mike and I are going to the spaghetti dinner at church on Sat. night and the church service afterward. Then we are off to the races Sunday. I will take my camera!

Snow, Softball, Sun

Mike and I went to see Katie play softball this weekend. As you can see from the pictures there is still a lot of snow over the pass. Just beautiful. The highlight of the softball games was Katie's home run. Mike said it had wings and just flew over the fence. I thought it took forever to get over. It felt like slow motion. It was a two run homerun. Her coach got me a team shirt which was very nice. It was so fun to watch Katie play again. In the evening we went to a little place by Katie's for pizza and "fellowship". Day two started with sunshine and a trip to Starbucks with coffee and conversation. Then a trip to Gasworks Park. You can see the park from the balcony at Katie's. It was a natural gas plant at one time and now it is a park. I sent you all pictures. We drove home the long scenic way. More snow and fabulous scenery. It was a good time.

Day One

I am just learning how to use a blog. I am hoping this will actually show up on it! :-) Oh, I got a picture up on this now! Yippee. I am hoping to learn how to do this before Lucy and I go on our road trip in June so the family can keep track of us. Plus it is fun to do something new like this.
